I get why people fetishize luchadores. They're like characters out of an old fichera comedy, but with real pain and glory. Yesterday I saw one wrestle in a little gym in Gustavo A Madero and it was intense. His moves were poetry. I took notes on the lighting because maybe someday we'll shoot there, even though the promoter wouldn't let us film during the match. Watching him fly through the air, I realized these are living legends.
