At 7am my father sends a voice note about the weather, at 8pm I reply from the balcony with a tomato in the frame, and for a while it is just us two, shouting through our own screens like it means something. Tonight, with the phone still off until midnight, he sent me four hundred frames of his side of the wall — so now we both have archives again, which is exactly where I start.
